Access to this website, "Otherwise Engaged", is restricted to those active in home education and is entirely at the discretion of the publishers.

Throughout this site the terms home education and home school are used interchangeably to describe children who are not in reciept of full time education, who are educated otherwise than at school.

We organise home education events and activities at cost. Occasional benefits arising from group bookings will be used to offset some of the administrative costs of arranging events and maintaining this site.

Every effort is made to ensure that the information provided on this site is accurate and up to date, however no warranty is given as to the accuracy, completeness, reliability or suitability with respect to the website or the information contained on the website for any purpose.

Users who rely on the information contained in this website do so at their own risk.

The publishers accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage suffered by a user as a result of reliance on information contained on any linked third party website to which access is gained via the "OtherWise Engaged" website. The inclusion of such links does not imply that the publishers endorse or approve the contents of any such site.

Participation in Events

Home school events and activities are organised for the benefit of home educated children using resources from a number of public and private providers. 

The health, safety and welfare of children participating in home education events or activities publicised through this site is solely the responsibility of the child's parent or legal guardian who should carry out their own risk assessment and be present to supervise the children in their care at all times.

The health, safety and welfare of participants and their enjoyment of learning opportunities should not be disrupted by the behaviour of others.

The time of the providers and other participants should be respected.

Participants should value the venues attended and help to leave them in a clean and tidy condition.

Places at activities or events may be limited, early booking and prompt payment is advised. For the most popular events booking deadlines are stated and adhered to.

Tickets to events or activities obtained through us are subject to the terms and conditions of the resource provider. Tickets may not be resold or passed on to a third party. Refunds are not available on unused tickets.
 
Animals - no animals (including birds) except guide dogs, may be brought into premises or to events.

Events may be subject to change or cancellation for reasons outside the control of the organisers.

Privacy Policy

Personal details of users registered with this site are used for authentication to this site (login) and for communication regarding home educating activities and events. Personal information regarding users of this site will not be passed on to any third party.

User names and passwords are for use by the registered user they are issued to. Please do not pass on login details to a third party. If you know someone who you think might be interested in the site please ask them to register.
